Summer clubs for seniors and mid-week are running at the moment.

About us

 College Rifles Badminton Club is situated at 33 Haast St in Remuera (near Upland Rd shops) and has a purpose-built hall with five courts. The club has approximately 350 members and comprises senior, mid-week and junior clubs.

The club caters for both competitive and casual players. Various membership categories are available.

All fully affilliated members have the opportunity to play interclub and there are teams representing College Rifles in senior, junior and mid-week interclub. Grades range from A grade to D grade for seniors and midweek and from A to E grade for juniors.

2009 Season

Seniors Club

Seniors run from February to October with club nights being on Thursday and Sunday nights from 7pm. These are free to members. Visitors are welcome to all senior club sessions and a charge of $10 is payable. Outside of this main playing season, a summer club is organised for which everyone pays a small charge.

Mid-week Club

The season operates from February to October and club days are Monday and Wednesday from 9.30pm to 1pm. Club days are free for members but visitors are welcome for a $10 charge. After closing day in October a summer club is run for approximately six weeks. The mid-week club is very social with tea/coffee available and a friendly atmosphere.

Junior Club

Coaching classes run after school on Mondays and Tuesdays from March. Classes are graded according to ability and age. A qualified coach teaches the children badminton skills and they improve their play as well as having fun.

Court Use

Members may book courts at any time outside of club times. We have a computerised lighting system which is operated using a swipe card. This card may be purchased from the office for a one-off payment of $10 and entitles the user to:

• open the front door
• operate court lighting
• book courts
• pay for court usage

Money can be credited to the card at the office or $2 coins may be deposited into the meter, with the card being debited whenever the card is used to operate the light
