Carlton Netball boasts the most talented, fun, outgoing and skillfull netballers across all ages. It's hard work during netball season, but we all have fun along the way.
Carlton Netball Club was established in 1985 and is one of the largest Netball clubs in Auckland. This year we have more than 160 players, including one colts team, one under 25 team, two premier teams, and three senior A teams.
Considered a friendly, vivacious and fair club Carlton Netball have grown from strength to strength over the years. In 2007 Carlton Netball completed it’s objective of becoming an incorporated society. In that year 7 of it’s 14 teams finished in the top two places in their respective grades. In 2008 we also showed good results, with the Premier 1 team finishing 4th overall and 6 Carlton Teams being awarded prizes at the Auckland Netball prize-giving, along with the Laser Premier Club Player of the year, going to one of our established club members. In 2009, both premier teams finished in the top 6 with the Colts team winning their grade and Carlton 3 coming second in their grade.
Carlton Netball produced it’s first official Silver Fern in 2007 with player Paula Griffin being selected for the country’s national team. Silver Fern Maria Tutaia has also played for Carlton Netball in past years. This year, one of our successes is having Premier player, Bailey Mes, selected for the Northern Mystics team.
Carlton Netball is completely supported by volunteers and is renowned for its strong base of loyal players.
