Alan Webb
Board Chairperson /Trustee elected 2015

I am a Barrister, specialising in resource management law, and am a founding member of Quay Chambers in Auckland. I have previous governance experience, having served many years on the National Board of the New Zealand Red Cross, as well as time spent on the board of a law firm.  Our family has been with Ponsonby Primary for 9 years and we have another 3 to go. I have been on the Board since 2015 and am in my 2nd term as the Chair. I continue to be amazed at the fantastic achievements of the school and enjoy very much adding my little bit to assist with the magnificent job being undertaken by parents, teachers and all the staff in ensuring that your children obtain the best possible primary education.

Davida Dunphy
Trustee elected 2016

I am a lawyer with over 17 years experience in private practice and in-house and am currently General Counsel at NZX25 Listed Precinct Properties New Zealand. I am also an ACIS Charted Company secretary (Associate of Governance New Zealand) and a member of the Institute of Directors. As an executive on the Board I am responsible for contributing to the strategic oversight of our $2+billion property portfolio and development projects; advising on all governance, risk, health and safety and compliance items; and managing all legal matters.

Justin Edgar
Trustee elected 2016

By way of background, I spent my early working life in the (sometimes)dastardly world of finance as an investment manager, investing client funds into Australian and New Zealand shares. I was part of a team that spent significant effort championing the cause of good corporate governance practice in New Zealand, seeking to ensure fair and equitable outcomes for small and minority shareholders. In early 2010, I left the finance sector in search of greater enrichment and fulfillment in my life and, alongside my wife Rebecca, set about establishing Little Engines Preschool, which opened its doors in February 2012 in Grey Lynn. Six years on and I can confidently say that I have found my true vocation. I have a genuine enthusiasm and love for children, their natural development and learning.

Lisa Crooke
Trustee elected 2016

I am an assurance partner at PwC and past member of our Assurance Executive team as head of markets and strategy and past board member of PwC’s Innovation Hub. I have worked at PwC since 1990 and I spent 5 years working in London specialising in financial services. Now I work more broadly with clients in a range of industries as well as listed and non-listed clients. I particularly enjoy working with clients in the technology, innovation and high growth areas. My role requires that I work closely with senior management and boards as an independent advisor on best practice governance and controls. I’m known for being strategic in my focus, proactive and hands on.  I am also on the Board of Trustees for the charity Dress for Success NZ Trust.  On the Ponsonby Primary Board, I have just taken over responsibility for finance.  I have 3 children - one past Ponsonby Primary pegasus flier, Eugene Broughton (14) and Alfie Broughton (Year 6) and Angie Broughton (Year 1).
