Venue for Training:  School courts or gym
Matches:                    Matches take place on Saturdays at Minogue Park
Approx. Cost:            $150 for all teams except, Open A= $260, Devlpt = $2400
Uniform:                     Netball top and navy skirt (except Open A= dresses)
Gear:                           Suitable netball court shoes and short white socks

Details:
Netball is very well established at Waikato Dio with the school being awarded the Netball Waikato Secondary School of the Year award in 2009 & 2010! Our main objective is to offer netball for girls to participate in at all levels. All Dio students playing netball are expected to play for a school team and not club teams on Saturdays at Minogue Park. In exceptional circumstances a player may apply to the Director of Sport for special dispensation to play for a club team and not a school team.

Dio Umpires:
As we are expected to provide umpires for all of our teams on a Saturday, it is our expectation that all players may be called on to umpire at some time during the season. Umpire training will be provided at the start of the season and our umpire coordinator will work closely with our umpires to assist and support them. All girls umpiring games will be listed on the weekly draws and should receive an umpire's card which they will need to have signed by the coach of the team whose game they umpire. If an umpire has not received a card before the Saturday's game they must collect one from the sports office. All signed cards are then to be returned to the sports office on the Monday following the game. Once a student has umpired 3 games voluntarily they will be paid $5 per game (graded umpires will be paid $10 per game).
