Summer Hockey - Social 6-a-side Hockey

Uniform:                     PE top, navy skirt, school socks

Gear:

Own hockey stick, shin pads, mouth guard and sports shoes suitable for playing on artificial turf.

Start Monday 23rd January, Finish 12 March 2012

Details:

This is six-a-side social hockey. The matches are played on a quarter turf. There are no goalkeepers and the ball can only be pushed (no hitting). This is ideal for those of you who would like to try out hockey before the winter 11-a-side competition or have played hockey and just want to be involved in a social team for the summer.

An Umpire will be umpiring each team’s game so they need to be additional to players and competent.
Teams will be entered into one of 2 grades:
Grade 1 will be for teams that are made up of predominantly hockey players.
Grade 2 will be for teams that are made up of predominantly non hockey players.

Parent assistance will be required to manage teams entered. The number of teams entered depends on there being a manager available for each one.

As this competition starts in term 1 before the school term begins we will only register teams at the end of the first week of school and start playing in the 3^rd week of the competition, Monday 6^th January 2012.
