The sport of Table Tennis is alive and very well here at Westlake Boys.

With over 200 cool boys playing this marvellous game we are now easily the biggest playing school in New Zealand, and perhaps in the South Pacific (that sounded good). Over sixty teams play weekly in the North Harbour competition - a competition Westlake has now dominated for the past 10 years. We are fast, nimble sportsmen with the quickest reflexes in the business.

Hot off the press:
u/18's Hanson Ling, Ben Jung, Bryn Lindsay and Yoichi Fukuda and
u/15 Jerry Wang were selected to represent North Harbour in the North Island Teams Championship 5 - 6 June 2010.

Our team of u/18's won the North Island teams competition, easily beating top-seeded Auckland Grammar in the finals.

Recent Team successes:
North Harbour Champions for the past 5 years. Auckland Champions for 2009 and Runners-up in 2008. Runners-up in the National Championships in 2007. Sixth place finishers in the National of 2008 and 2009.

Recent Player successes:
Jackson Chu and Hanson Ling represented NZ in the Oceania Championships and Junior World Circut in 2007 and 2010 respectively. Ben Jung won the NZ Korean Community Trophy in 2009 and went on to play in the Korean Championships at the start of this year (2010). Bryn Lindsay and Hanson Ling have represented North Harbour in National Competitions for the past number of years.
