BMX Rod Watson r.watson@wbhs.school.nz  The profile of BMX has been elevated in recent years with its inclusion as an Olympic sport (Beijing 2008 and London 2012). The successes of our Sarah Walker and Marc Willers have certainly helped make New Zealanders more aware of this new sport.  Student Donald Ross gained 6th place at the Worlds 15-16 Cruiser Class in 2012.  The Whangarei BMX Club has a World class track situated at Riverside and we have several Boys’ High members who represent the club at competitions (North Islands, Nationals and Worlds).  Any boys who would like to experience this challenging and exciting sport are welcome to come along to our club nights on Wednesday evenings between 5:30 and 8:00.
