Bowls Bessie VanRooyen b.vanrooyen@wbhs.school.nz .  Bowls is a niche sport at WBHS, but still manages to punch above its weight.  We have three Northland representative bowlers at WBHS – Trevor Attwood, Jack Hutchinson, and Kahu Read.  In 2012, we sent a team of six students to complete at the NSSSA Lawn Bowls championships, and all six of our boys were chosen to take part in Northland regional trials.  For a small sport like Bowls, this is an outstanding achievement and shows that WBHS is a school for all sportsmen, not just those who play rugby or cricket.
